As a fellow New Yorker, I want to thank kindly for your Video tutorial on youtube with the Create a EComm website with Kadence virtue. I have never though I could build any site, let alone a Ecomm site. Your are a great teacher and also have great style.
I am not quite done yet with the site, I still have to build out the link pages for all of the buttons, but I plan to get them done this week. Our site is Big Time Supply . com
I do have some questions on making it better as far as the home page goes:
1. I would like to put a row of Text in the under main menu and below that a long search bar. Any idea how I can do that?
2. The Menu Photos I have below the slider did not come out like I wanted. I was looking to have the text below the picture. Is there a different way I can achieve this with a widget?
3. How do I make the main menu a drop down type menu?
That is it for now. I am so grateful for your help. I’m not sure which side of NY you are on, I’m on the Western most side so if you are near or come this way I’d gladly treat you to some lunch or whatever.

NYC is the best. I got your question in the other Topic thread, did it help at all?
We’re here for ya! Hope Virtue is serving you well!

Hi Robbie: Picking up the conversation here about your issue with search bar and text.
Sorry, that both Greg’s and my suggestions have not worked for you yet.
Let’s see what we can do to help you resolve this correctly.
Do you have the following plugins installed?
1. Page Builder by Site Origin
2. Widgets Bundle by Site Origin11 months, 1 week ago CoriModerator
Hi Robbie, It can be quite frustrating when things just don’t seem to work right. Sorry, you are still having this issue.
I know you said you want to fill in the white space to the right of your logo. I think you wanted to add some text there? This may be difficult without using Page Builder.
1. Great if you have Page Builder! Have you used it before? If you would like to go this route let me know. Page Builder enables you to customize more specifically. Including Custom CSS plugin by Site Origin.
Themes themselves come with their own built-in way of working. Sometimes what we are attempting to do is not as easy without the support of a few great plugins. The Site Origin ones I’ve listed are quite good!
2. You can add text below the logo in Theme Options.
Did you add your logo by going to your Dashboard > Appearances> Theme Options?
If you did and want to add text below the logo instead this is how you can do that.
1.In the theme options area
2. Go to Main Settings
3. Scroll to Logo options
4.Toward the end of logo options, you should see the words “Site Tagline-below logo”
5. After adding the text you want there in the box below… that says “Site Tagline Font”
There you can change font color, font size, and font style.
Keep us updated on your progress.
We are here to help you find a solution!
Thanks for your detailed reply.
You are correct. I want to fill in the white space to the left of the logo. I would like to instal a long search bar below the menu, and 1 line of text below the search bar.
I have Siteorigin page builder, but have not had luck being able to add text next to the logo or adding a search bar either. I also tried the CSS Plugin, but that wont allow me to add text, just modify it.
I am grateful for your help.

What methods have you tried to far? Can you please send the link to your website or a screenshot? There is always a way in WordPress, just some easier than others 🙂
Greg and Cori,
Thanks for your input on this!
I have tried using the page builder. At best the text comes in below my slider in a picture, but that is all that would work. I joined a WordPress meetup group who meets tonight at Canisus College. I am hopeful to get something positive out of it. If you have any suggestions, please let me know

Good proactive work Robbie! I’m so hoping they had a help desk who could tell you more than “it’s a custom job”
How did it go? Just thinking here – I know Storefront theme has a Search bar to the right of the logo http://demo.woothemes.com/storefront/?_ga=1.112628996.1098928611.1486323885
