I guess I am confused (pretty common for me). If the beginner theme is being used as an affiliate theme, then it is imperative that affiliates have some way to collect email addresses and subsequently create mailing campaigns to their subscribers, right?
So how, unless there is something included here that sends subscribers to an autoresponder such as Mail Chimp or Get Response, is this theme useful to an affiliate marketer.
I don’t know if “feed burner” is similar to an auto responder or just a way to collect email addresses in a spreadsheet.
This is a bit confusing to me, especially since the emphasis was on setting up lists in auto responders during the tutorial on the Laurel theme a while back.
I see how Feedburner is probably useful but I don’t see how it helps affiliates necessarily.
Thanks for any replies or suggestions and explanations.

Good question there. I’ll try to clarify:
Feedburner: good for building the audience who will read your posts. good for keeping people updated with when you publish a new post. not good for putting affiliate links in. you’ll need to insert the affiliate links (to products like Laurel) within the blog posts themselves. Feedburner can then deliver those blog posts anyone who has signed up through the subscribe form on the blog you create.
Does that help?
